I nearly forgot that I have this blog site with me… oh well, nothing’s new has been happening to me recently.

I just want to share a line from Paulo Coelho’s book Eleven Minutes.

…I’ve been thinking about it a lot, and I realize that I didn’t go into that café by chance; really important meetings are planned by the souls long before the bodies see each other.

As others would translate it:

“There are no chances… everything has a purpose…”

Really now?

It’s for you to know and for me to find out.

Happy New Year!

Another year to begin with.

Another year to look forward to.

Another year, to refresh ourselves and make it right.

Good luck to us and have a good year ahead! 😀

Merry Christmas to all!

Hope everyone will have a good one! 😀

new old boring stuffs

Yes, I’m back and am alive. I haven’t been busy lately but I have discovered a lot of things.

First up, F1. 2009 season is over, Jenson Button is the World Champion and Brawn, Mercedes is the Constructors Champion. Congratulations to them. Next year will be another exciting year after the post season dramas and upcoming news around the F1 Championships. New teams were installed and 2 other teams were replaced. A lot of new drivers and driver switches. The most controversial will be McLaren for having 2 world champion drivers in their team. That would be a match-up to look forward to.

Movies, I know that movies are best seen in the big screen but sometimes if I’m just after the story, why bother paying a lot of cash and bother myself lining up with all the crowds in the movie house when I can just sit and relax at home and download them? I only choose which movies I’d watch in the movie houses and which ones I would download. Well anyway, these are just my rants about them.

New Moon. I have watched the movie in the big screen with some friends and yes, it was for free, since I wouldn’t normally watch those kind of films. It was disappointing for a lot of things and I am not writing this to criticize the movie. I just want to share my experience since after watching it, I felt that every man in the mall were running around half-naked and flaunting their bodies. LOL!

In my free time nowadays, anyway I’ve got a lot of it, I have been reading past books of Paulo Coelho. The first book that I read was ‘The Devil and Miss Prym’. The title and synopsis got me so curious that I bought the book right away and read it all day. It was good and somehow it is the only book that is different from the rest. I mean it doesn’t seem to talk much about witchcraft, angels and those stuffs. It just wanted to know if people are good or evil in nature.

I haven’t been influenced by his books yet but I am just amazed asking myself why he would be so into those witchcrafts, angels, and heavenly stuffs. Yet they are so moving and I have been thinking ‘what if’ I also go into those. I wouldn’t see myself doing those things in the future but ‘what if’? I have yet to read his latest book since I’ve got no money and hopefully someone will get it for me this Christmas and I would love that person so much. (Now I am wondering, what does my angel look like.)

Before I used to tell myself that I would not be seeing myself lifting heavy weights inside a gym, but now I am. I got into this gym stuff because I got so heavy after coming back from my trip to USA. It is my 11th month trying to lose all the fats in my body. I am back to my ideal weight but now I’m, not obsessed, but keen to see myself at least looking lean and not flabby to look at.

I have stopped for a while, maybe for 2 weeks because of my tonsillitis. I can still work out to fight my sickness but I can’t concentrate because of the continuous coughs I create, and it is embarrassing me.

Animation, animes and manga. I am still currently watching Bleach anime because of the good fillers they are currently showing. Other than that, I have basically been outdated with all the latest ones coming. But I have been reading good chapters of mangas namely Bleach, Naruto, Reborn!, Code Breaker, and Freezing. Good stuffs there.

These folks are just some of the things that have been keeping be busy in my boring life. Stay tuned for more boring actions and insights.

Next up, Christmas and New Year, and I know it will all be the same as the other holidays I’ve had. Happy Holidays to you all!

PS: My friend has a gig! Congrats. For all you guys living in the metro, Philippines, catch him live at Seafood Island, Trinoma Mall, Quezon City at 8 pm onwards. =D

Formula1 drama

If there’s one word to describe Formula1 this series, DRAMA, as always.

First up, the McLaren Mercedes lie tailgate at the start of the season. I am a McLaren F1 team fan when Ron Dennis was still the team principal. He was I think the most consistent and the best strategist as far as I’ve seen them race. But after resigning from the team, McLaren took a downfall. Well at least for the season and I know that they starting from scratch with the new regulations and new team to work with.

As for the drivers, after Mika Hakkinen retired, Kimi Raikkonen was there to replace him as my next favorite driver and I was really happy when he won the driver’s championship 2 years back. Ferrari struggled at the start of this season because of the double diffuser and other chassis regulation disputes. But they and the other teams are catching up right now. Specially Redbull’s Sebastian Vettel who is so called the next generation ‘Michael Schumacher’.

As of this season, Jenson Button is the leader with a pretty nice margin in the championship points. I know that Jenson is a good driver when the team was still owned by Honda, because he was the one who shone when there were only 2 or 3 teams racing for championships and everyone else was behind the pack. I really thought before that he is also one of the drivers that can be a contender or better, a world champion one day. He is really lucky that he have a championship car and a good team boss today. I’d say good luck to him and for the rest of the team.

Who will win the championship? Based from the last 2 seasons, this season is pretty much the same Vettel can be Jenson’s closest contender aside from his team mate Rubens Barichello. They will have a mano-a-mano race fight until the last 2-3 races when they can predict the world champion.

Next is the ‘breakaway’ series. But I really doubt that there would be a one because Max Mosley (FIA President), will go down and I know that as a businessman, he don’t want to see his pay go down or worse, lose a job. And I doubt that FOTA can organize a Formula1-like championship series in a span of less than a year. That is why they had a compromised agreement and now all teams this season and 3 new teams will be competing in the 2010 Formula1 championship. That would be a great season to watch and I have never seen F1 grid filled with 26 cars since the first time I’ve watched it.

The entry list for 2010 are as follows: (quoted from f1.gpupdate.net)

Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro (Ferrari-engines)
Vodafone McLaren Mercedes (Mercedes-engines)
BMW Sauber F1 Team (BMW-engines)
Renault F1 Team (Renault-engines)
Panasonic Toyota Racing (Toyota-engines)
Scuderia Toro Rosso (engines tba)
Red Bull Racing (engines tba)
AT&T Williams (Toyota-engines)
Force India F1 Team (Mercedes-engines)
Brawn GP Formula One Team (engines tba)
Campos Meta Team (Cosworth-engines)
Manor Grand Prix (Cosworth-engines)
Team US F1 (Cosworth-engines)

KERS or Kinetic Energy Recovery System (if you want to read more about it, try googleing it out, even I can’t really understand the technical aspects of it), in easier terms, when an F1 car breaks, it regenerates/recovers energy and when it is filled up, the driver pushes a button and yielding additional 80 horsepower for 6.6 seconds. In simpler terms it is like a ‘rechargeable booster’. But it weighs about 30-40 kg or about half of an F1 driver’s weight. The added bulk gives the team a harder time getting the balance of the car, furthermore drivers has to lose more weight, because of weight limit issues with the car, which is not good when driving an F1 car. Other safety issues about KERS were brought up.

At the start of the season, at least 5 teams continue to develop their cars using KERS. But as of the last race in Silverstone, only Ferrari uses KERS. Everyone else abandoned the system and shifts their focus in developing the aerodynamics of their cars. FOTA has agreed not to use KERS for the 2010 season despite the regulations made by FIA for next season. We will still see as this KERS drama unfolds. Will Ferrari still continue to develop their car with KERS in it? Will the FIA still pursue developing KERS, or will it be another dispute with FOTA opting to boycott KERS?

This season also said goodbye to 2 of the historical circuits from the ‘F1 circus’, Hockenheim and Silverstone. But we will see new circuits as F1 goes.

All is well that ends well. We saw a very exciting last 2 seasons from F1, and I know that this season will be as exciting and so is the next one. What more can I say, let’s just sit back and enjoy more F1 dramas as they unfold.

*woot* (with a big eyes and a big smile) Another plurk expression craze for me today. I came home this morning from somewhere and saw a mailman inserted a letter on our gate. As I came closer to the letter to get it, you can see a big smile on my face.

Why? It was a small envelope letter with a big DCA (Department of Consumer Affairs) on the upper left portion.

What does it mean? The last time I got a letter from them, they sent me a big bulky letter and the message inside told me that I failed my exam. This time, I was certain that I got the right letter. Yes folk finally, I passed my NCLEX-RN exam. *woot*

I thought of trying to catch the mailman and give him a big hug for sending the letter. Oh man, was I really relieved. Well, at least for today and maybe until the weekend.

I also got good news from a couple of review mates from before and they also passed the exams. Now I’m still waiting for the results of the other mates. Congratulations to all of us and good luck to those who are still waiting for the results and to those who will be taking the exam! I know you can also make it. GOD IS GOOD!

I am still a bum and still looking for something to do. I don’t know, a job? Desperate times calls for desperate measures. Where shall I go now? Oh man.

I was there again in a coffee shop trying to study. When I got there, I first sat across the corner and there were a bunch of people at the other corner across the coffee shop, they were literally shouting at each other and you can hear what they are talking. Can’t they talk in normal voices like all other people do? Thank God they were gone soon.

Anyway, after an hour, there were two people sat two tables beside me and at least they were talking normally and not as disturbing as the last one. One was presenting something and the other was the one interviewing or asking questions to the presentor.

The interviewer suddenly asks a question. “How will you know what other people don’t know of or how will you know what others want to know?” the presentor answered “Hmm, It’s like knowing the unknown…”.

I got really curious about this one and hopefully someone can give me a close or logical answer to that question.
